A CAMINHO DE BRAGA
Velha a Branca opened in October, 2004 with the purpose of promoting art and culture creation and divulgation. This 18th century building, with a small front façade, hides various rooms, a cafeteria and a large and surprising levelled garden that peaks with an interesting point of view over the city. This “barn” is an independent non-profit cultural cooperative situated at Braga’s historic centre and it’s run by a team of non-paid volunteers. All the profit that the cooperative makes goes only to funding its cultural projects.
Every day, it’s possible to participate in various activities (talks, book launchings, poetry sessions, concerts, themed weeks, etc.), see expositions of photography, painting, sculpturing, etc., and attend courses of an array of choices.
